ResidentPe ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.

Personal Information

• Name and Contact Details: Resident name, phone number, email address, flat number
• Authentication Data: Society number and 6-digit resident PIN for secure access
• Vehicle Information: Vehicle number, type (2-wheeler/4-wheeler), owner name
• Payment Information: Maintenance bills, corpus fund contributions, payment receipts

• Generate and track maintenance bills for your society
• Process expense receipts uploaded by society administrators
• Manage corpus/emergency fund contributions
• Facilitate communication between residents and society secretary
• Generate financial reports and payment receipts
• Enable poll voting and decision-making within the society
• Maintain vehicle registry for security purposes

4. Data Storage and Security

All data is stored securely on Supabase servers with enterprise-grade security:

• Encryption at rest and in transit (TLS/SSL)
• Row Level Security (RLS) ensuring society-level data isolation
• Regular security audits and penetration testing
• Automated daily backups

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. Your data is only accessible to:

• Society Administrators (Secretary/Committee): To manage society operations
• Fellow Residents (Limited): Only name, flat number, and phone number for directory purposes
• Service Providers: Supabase (database), Google Play Store (distribution)

6. Data Retention

Your data is retained as long as your society maintains an active subscription. Upon society deactivation or written request, data is permanently deleted within 30 days.

7. Your Rights

• Access: View all your personal data in the app
• Correction: Request updates to your information via society secretary
• Deletion: Request data deletion (subject to legal obligations)
• Portability: Download your payment receipts and transaction history

8. Children's Privacy

ResidentPe is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify users of material changes via in-app notification or email.

10. Legal Compliance

We comply with applicable data protection laws including India's Information Technology Act, 2000 and IT (Reasonable Security Practices) Rules, 2011.
